Campaign Status
The Google Ads campaign, aimed at achieving targeted clicks and optimizing budget management, began in December. Initially, our approach was to test the campaign with a CPC of less than $1. This strategy was chosen to analyze the performance of Google's bidding system and the quality of keywords without incurring additional costs.
In December, the holiday season and intense competition in your industry led many competitors to raise their CPC bids. Since Google uses an auction system to display ads, this increase in competitors' CPC caused our campaign to lose in the bidding process, resulting in no clicks during December.
Our goal was to avoid sudden CPC increases and unnecessary costs by implementing a gradual strategy. This allowed us to gather enough data before optimizing the campaign to prevent budget waste.
Actions Taken
We started with a low CPC strategy to control additional costs in the early stages and focused solely on targeted keywords. Throughout December, competitive analysis revealed that competitors had significantly increased their CPC bids.
After the holidays, and to avoid further delays, we decided to gradually raise the CPC budget to $6 to assess the auction performance and campaign return. This adjustment allowed the campaign to succeed in auctions and generate clicks. Further analysis showed that the optimal CPC for your industry during this period is approximately $5, so we set the CPC for your keywords to $5.
This gradual approach helped us avoid sudden and unnecessary expenses while optimizing the campaign effectively.
Future Plans
To improve campaign results, we will daily review new keywords from the Search Terms section. This enables us to identify keywords that received clicks with a lower CPC and add them to the campaign. With this method, we can reduce the cost per click and attract more clicks within the current budget.
Given that the optimal CPC for your keywords is around $5, you are currently receiving 5 clicks per day with the current budget. Since competitors have increased their CPC, we've been receiving fewer clicks. Therefore, we recommend doubling your budget to ensure at least 10 clicks per day.
Additional Information
Sometimes, Google’s algorithms need at least a month to fully identify the campaign's goal and optimize the quality of keywords and headlines for better alignment. This factor has also impacted the overall progress of the campaign.
FAQS
-What Does Domain Authority Mean?
It is really important to define what domain authority is and what isn't in order to point your digital strategy in the right direction.
It gives sites a score ranked between 1 and 100, with the higher end of the scale representing a better outcome. Finding out your score helps you with building your brand and creating a website that you know clients and customers will want to engage with. It will also help you see the areas that may need a little more improvement.
-What Does Linking Root Domains Mean?
Number of unique root domains linking to a target. Two links from the same website will only be counted as one linking root domain.
-What Does Spam Score Mean?
Upon its first release, Spam Score analysed a website against 17 spam signalling factors, coined by Moz as ‘spam flags’. As the tool evolved, Moz incorporated more spam signalling factors ‘flags’. There are now 27 ‘spam flags’, which we will explain in detail later.
The aggregate of these flags is represented by a single score that indicates the likeliness of a site being penalized by Google. The more flags a site accumulates, the higher the Spam Score, and the stronger the prediction that it will be perceived as spammy by Google.
-What Does Google Clicks Mean?
How often someone clicked a link from Google to your site.
-What Does Impression Mean?
An impression means that a user has seen (or potentially seen) a link to your site in Search.
-What Does CTR Mean?
Click-through rate. Clicks/Impressions for Google Search clicks.
-What Does The On-Site SEO Score Mean?
The SEO Score is a measure of how well the user-facing and technical aspects of your site contribute to search engine optimization, and ultimately, higher rankings and organic traffic.
-What Does Organic Keywords Mean?
An organic keyword is a keyword used to attract free traffic through search engine optimization (SEO).
-What Does Backlinks Mean?
Backlinks are links from one website to a page on another website. Google and other major search engines consider backlinks “votes” for a specific page. Pages with a high number of backlinks tend to have high organic search engine rankings.
