Google Ads Campaign Report for September
September Activities:
Campaign Transition and Optimization:
In September, we fully transitioned from the previous automated campaign to a new campaign with a Manual CPC strategy. Until September 18th, we focused on optimizing the campaign and stabilizing the ads. However, as per your request, the landing pages were updated, and we stopped showing ads for the previous landing pages. Additionally, we deactivated the "Commercial Lights" and "Electrician" ad groups and launched new ad groups for "EV Charging," "Basement Wiring," and "Panel Upgrade" to align with the new landing pages. Due to these changes, the ads require a bit more time to stabilize, and we anticipate completing this stabilization in the upcoming month.
Negative Keywords Implementation:
On a few occasions, your ads were shown for irrelevant keywords. Since we review your campaign daily, we quickly added these keywords to the Negative Keywords list to prevent your ads from being triggered by them. Some examples of these keywords are:
[309a electrician
[cabling companies near me]
[do I need an electrician to change a light fixture]
[alarm electrician]
Daily CPC Optimization:
With the new Manual CPC strategy, we monitored and tested various Max CPC settings for different keywords throughout September to achieve the highest number of quality clicks at the lowest possible cost.
Top Performing Keywords by Impressions:
Given the competitive nature of your industry, the average cost per click is around $4. Therefore, we continuously review your campaign daily to ensure we are driving quality clicks to your site.
Planned Activities for October:
Keyword and CPC Optimization:
Since the new ad groups were recently launched, we will need to further optimize the keywords for the new landing pages and adjust the Max CPC settings for each keyword to achieve the best results. Our goal is to maximize performance and deliver the best possible outcome for your business.
New Keywords Addition:
We will add new keywords to the search list and further optimize the previous keywords to increase impressions and improve overall visibility.
Terminology Explained:
Manual CPC: A bidding strategy where you manually set the maximum amount you're willing to pay per click on your ads.
Max CPC: The highest amount you're willing to pay for a click on a particular keyword.
Negative Keywords: Keywords that are excluded from triggering your ads, ensuring that they aren't shown for irrelevant searches.
Ad Group: A set of ads and keywords grouped together by theme within a campaign to target specific searches.
Impressions: The number of times your ad is shown to users on Google search results or other platforms.
FAQS
-What Does Domain Authority Mean?
It is really important to define what domain authority is and what isn't in order to point your digital strategy in the right direction.
It gives sites a score ranked between 1 and 100, with the higher end of the scale representing a better outcome. Finding out your score helps you with building your brand and creating a website that you know clients and customers will want to engage with. It will also help you see the areas that may need a little more improvement.
-What Does Linking Root Domains Mean?
Number of unique root domains linking to a target. Two links from the same website will only be counted as one linking root domain.
-What Does Spam Score Mean?
Upon its first release, Spam Score analysed a website against 17 spam signalling factors, coined by Moz as ‘spam flags’. As the tool evolved, Moz incorporated more spam signalling factors ‘flags’. There are now 27 ‘spam flags’, which we will explain in detail later.
The aggregate of these flags is represented by a single score that indicates the likeliness of a site being penalized by Google. The more flags a site accumulates, the higher the Spam Score, and the stronger the prediction that it will be perceived as spammy by Google.
-What Does Google Clicks Mean?
How often someone clicked a link from Google to your site.
-What Does Impression Mean?
An impression means that a user has seen (or potentially seen) a link to your site in Search.
-What Does CTR Mean?
Click-through rate. Clicks/Impressions for Google Search clicks.
-What Does The On-Site SEO Score Mean?
The SEO Score is a measure of how well the user-facing and technical aspects of your site contribute to search engine optimization, and ultimately, higher rankings and organic traffic.
-What Does Organic Keywords Mean?
An organic keyword is a keyword used to attract free traffic through search engine optimization (SEO).
-What Does Backlinks Mean?
Backlinks are links from one website to a page on another website. Google and other major search engines consider backlinks “votes” for a specific page. Pages with a high number of backlinks tend to have high organic search engine rankings.
