During this reporting period, we focused on improving click volume and maximizing the utilization of the available advertising budget.
Through ongoing bid optimization, we successfully reduced average CPCs to approximately $1.70. However, as competition in the auction increased and competitor CPCs continued to rise, the campaign was no longer able to consistently spend the full daily budget. This limited the campaign's ability to generate the maximum possible traffic.
To evaluate alternative bidding approaches, we temporarily transitioned the campaign from Manual CPC to Maximize Conversions. After closely monitoring performance and analyzing results over a one-week testing period, we determined that Manual CPC remained the more effective strategy for the current campaign objectives and budget level.
As a result, the campaign was switched back to Manual CPC, while average bids were strategically increased to approximately $2.00. This adjustment was implemented to improve auction competitiveness, increase impression share, and ensure that the campaign could fully utilize the available budget while generating the highest possible number of relevant clicks.
In addition, geographic bid optimizations were implemented to strengthen visibility in priority service areas. Bid adjustments for Vancouver, Burnaby, and Port Coquitlam were increased by approximately 20% compared to the standard campaign bids. This allows the campaign to compete more aggressively in local auctions and increase ad visibility among users searching for services in these key target locations.
Other routine optimization activities completed during the month included:
Ongoing search term analysis and negative keyword updates
Keyword performance reviews and bid refinements
Monitoring impression share and auction insights
Ad copy and asset performance evaluations
Budget pacing and spend monitoring
Conversion tracking verification and performance analysis
These optimizations are intended to increase qualified traffic, improve budget utilization, and position the campaign for stronger lead generation opportunities moving forward.
