6. Recommendations & Next Steps

To build on this month's impressive performance, we recommend focusing on the following:

  • Capitalize on Top Performing Content: Given the exceptional performance of pages related to Class 4 and Class 5 licensing and road tests, consider expanding on these topics with more comprehensive guides, FAQs, and video tutorials. This further solidifies your authority and attracts more users.

  • Enhance Local SEO: Continue to optimize for "Burnaby" and "Coquitlam" queries. Ensure your Google Business Profile is fully optimized, consistent with your website information, and encouraging reviews to further dominate local search results.

  • Explore International Opportunities: While traffic from the US and Vietnam is currently small, the presence of keywords in these regions suggests potential. If strategic, consider creating content or sections tailored to driving regulations and lessons in these countries to tap into new markets.

7. Glossary of Terms

To ensure clarity, here are explanations of the key terms used in this report:

  • Impressions: The total number of times your website's content (e.g., a page or article) appeared in search engine results for various queries.

  • Clicks: The total number of times users clicked on your website's link from the search results to visit your pages.

  • Organic Search Traffic: Visitors who arrived at your website by clicking on a non-paid (natural) listing in a search engine's results page. This is a highly valuable source of traffic as it reflects genuine user interest.

  • Keywords: The specific words or phrases that users type into search engines. Ranking for more keywords means your website is visible for a wider range of searches.

  • Authority Score (AS): A proprietary metric (from Semrush) that assesses a website's overall authority and influence in its niche, based on various factors like backlink profile and organic search performance. Higher scores indicate greater trustworthiness.

  • Backlinks: Incoming links to your website from other websites. They are a strong signal to search engines about the credibility and relevance of your content.

  • Referring Domains: The number of unique websites that have at least one backlink pointing to your website. A higher number indicates a more diverse and robust backlink profile.

  • Linking Domains: Refers to the number of unique domains that link to your site. Often used interchangeably with Referring Domains.

  • Domain Authority (DA): A search engine ranking score (developed by Moz) that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine results pages (SERPs). Scores range from 1 to 100, with higher scores indicating a stronger likelihood of ranking well.

  • Spam Score: A metric (developed by Moz) that estimates the likelihood of a website having a spammy or low-quality backlink profile. A low spam score is excellent, indicating a clean and healthy link profile.

  • Queries: The actual words or phrases that users type into search engines when searching for information.

Actions Taken in June:
Following the significant improvements made to keyword Quality Scores in the previous month, the focus for June shifted toward optimizing CTR (Click-Through Rate) by strategically increasing CPC bids for high-performing keywords. The goal was to further enhance ad visibility and maximize conversion potential by driving more qualified traffic through improved positioning.

CPC adjustments were made for keywords that had shown strong conversion performance in past months. These changes were implemented carefully to maintain cost-efficiency while improving CTR. The updated bids are as follows:

  • [driving school coquitlam] – increased from $2.00 to $2.60

  • [Port Moody Driving School] – increased from $2.00 to $2.20

  • [Driving Lesson Near Me] – increased from $2.00 to $2.20

  • [Driving Lessons] – increased from $2.00 to $2.20

  • [Driving School Near Me] – increased from $2.00 to $2.50

  • [Driving Classes Near Me] – increased from $2.00 to $2.50

As in previous months, weekly reviews of the Search Terms Report were carried out consistently. Irrelevant keywords were promptly added to the negative keyword list. Encouragingly, the volume of unrelated search queries has declined to an acceptable level, significantly reducing budget waste and improving overall campaign efficiency.

FAQS

-What Does Domain Authority Mean?

It is really important to define what domain authority is and what isn't in order to point your digital strategy in the right direction.

It gives sites a score ranked between 1 and 100, with the higher end of the scale representing a better outcome. Finding out your score helps you with building your brand and creating a website that you know clients and customers will want to engage with. It will also help you see the areas that may need a little more improvement.

-What Does Linking Root Domains Mean?

Number of unique root domains linking to a target. Two links from the same website will only be counted as one linking root domain.

-What Does Spam Score Mean?

Upon its first release, Spam Score analysed a website against 17 spam signalling factors, coined by Moz as ‘spam flags’. As the tool evolved, Moz incorporated more spam signalling factors ‘flags’. There are now 27 ‘spam flags’, which we will explain in detail later.

The aggregate of these flags is represented by a single score that indicates the likeliness of a site being penalized by Google. The more flags a site accumulates, the higher the Spam Score, and the stronger the prediction that it will be perceived as spammy by Google.

-What Does Google Clicks Mean?

How often someone clicked a link from Google to your site.

-What Does Impression Mean?

An impression means that a user has seen (or potentially seen) a link to your site in Search.

-What Does CTR Mean?

Click-through rate. Clicks/Impressions for Google Search clicks.

-What Does The On-Site SEO Score Mean?

The SEO Score is a measure of how well the user-facing and technical aspects of your site contribute to search engine optimization, and ultimately, higher rankings and organic traffic.

-What Does Organic Keywords Mean?

An organic keyword is a keyword used to attract free traffic through search engine optimization (SEO).

-What Does Backlinks Mean?

Backlinks are links from one website to a page on another website. Google and other major search engines consider backlinks “votes” for a specific page. Pages with a high number of backlinks tend to have high organic search engine rankings.
